Sourcing and evidence

  • Breach descriptions rely on the disclosing organisation's own notice, a regulator's statement or a named research publication – not on aggregator screenshots.
  • We do not host, sell, link to or republish leaked data, and we do not tell readers where to obtain it.
  • Breach numbers are reported with the source and its date, because early figures are routinely revised. Numbers we cannot attribute are left out.
  • The “Updated” date changes only when the text changes; an automated content-hash ledger enforces that.

Our commercial interest

We sell exposure monitoring and incident response. A site that explains why leaked credentials are dangerous is also a site that brings us customers. That is worth knowing before you take any advice here at face value.
